Interviewing Steve Jobs - Albert Fradejas

Good morning ladies and gentlemen my name is Albert Fradejas and today at TecnoGenius we have the pleasure of interviewing Steve Jobs.
Interviewer
Good morning Mr. Jobs, my first question would be…When did you start to be interested in the world of computer science?
Steve Jobs

Well, first, good morning yawl. I don’t’ remember a specific moment when I decide to enter that amazing world. I think that since I was a child, I’ve been always interested in technological advances and curious about them. In fact, I’ve been developing some gadgets since I was in high school, just because I loved it.
Interviewer
Yes, we’ve seen some of those gadgets in your expo in North California. They seem so outdated now.
Steve Jobs
Of course, I didn’t have a lot of money and the technology was lot simpler than now, so I did what I could with the pieces that I found in my dad’s garage.
Interviewer
I see… It’s known that you were born in a humble family, without any status or prestige. And look at you know!
Steve Jobs
Yes Albert, I was born in a low-class family. Actually, I didn’t get to finish my first year of university because my parents couldn’t afford it. I went the first six months to class and after that I went as a listener, without paying anything. I spent eighteen months doing that.
Interviewer
Wow, does that eighteen months had some results on your actual business?
Steve Jobs
Yes! In those months I assist to typography classes every week and I learned a lot about it.  So, while we were designing the first Mac, I decide to include different types of letters, based on those classes. It was a huge revolution, nobody had done it before, and people seemed to be in love.
Interviewer
That’s amazing! I’m so curious about one thing, what requirements are needed to be in your workers team?

Steve Jobs
Well, nowadays there’s more than a hundred thousand people working for Apple. But I understand what you mean, I think that a good worker must know how to work under pressure, because it’s always present in a company like Apple. To deal with that pressure, workers need to have a good time-goal skills, in order to use their time effectively.

Interviewer
That’s so interesting! Which other qualities or skills are needed?

Steve Jobs
There are so many different positions that require different types of skills. For example, in some high-power jobs, leadership workers are really needed, and in accounting positions we need people who is very good with numbers.
Interviewer
That makes total sense, every job requires different skills. I think we still have time for one last question so, what do you think is the best thing about your job?

Steve Jobs

That’s a good question…I think that the thing that I most enjoy is the annual Keynote. Everyone is waiting and listening to you, with no idea of what you have been capable of. That’s why we try to make every Keynote unforgivable.
Interviewer
Thank you so much for being here today with us Mr. Jobs. It’s been a pleasure.
