Option 2: Dialogue (Guillem Brunet)

Mr Smith and Mr Chester are teachers and they are having a talk in the school staff room, they are talking about the rights and wrongs of ICT (Information and Communication Technology) as a subject.

Mr Smith: This subject has to be included in the student’s curriculum, the future of them is focused on these technologies, we should teach them how to use it and how to improve their mean points with them, it’s just their future. Don’t you think?

Mr Chester: Well, I’m not too sure but, in my opinion these technologies are just a complement for them, in the children’s academic development we have to be focused on their hard skills, they need to learn the academic bases before the soft skill’s development, we don’t have to mix it.

Mr Smith: Do you really think so? I don’t quite agree with you, I believe that seeing which profile the economic world search, we need to teach them, obviously, the hard skills, but we should taught it in parallel with the soft skills searched by this world, using this technologies.

Mr Chester: Yes, I agree here but we should introduce these technologies gradually, we are here always to help our students grow up, and using these tools could be a good way.
