I am writting because I have a problem when with your product laste Monday when I bought a MP3 Player with some problems, the default headphones only heard by the left earphone and in characteristics of headphones say 64 GB and in my device get only 32 GB.

I am not satisfied with my purchase, I would like you to contact me to talk about this problems and look for any solution to solve this problem.

Steve: Hi, my name is Steve Paul Jobs I am the chairman, CEO and co-founder of Apple Inc., the chairman and majority shareholder of Pixar, a member of The Walt Disney Company's board of directors following its acquisition of Pixar, and the founder, chairman, and CEO of NeXT.

Presenter: Sorry I forget another question. Where you born?

Steve: I was born in San Francisco, California, and put up for adoption.

Presenter: Lot of people admire you, why?

Steve: I think it is for I am widely recognized as a pioneer of the personal computer revolution of the 1970s and 1980s, along with Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak.

Steve Jobs: I think that my enterprise is based on the capacity of problem solving giving to our customers quickly solutions, and our management skills to produce on time our products.

Journalist: Has your life changed since you are famous?

Steve Jobs: Obviously no, I try to give to my family a normal life with familiar meals, excursions and other activities.

Journalist: Why your products are the best sellers?

Steve Jobs: I think that our products are the best one in security settings, that give to our customers the feeling of having their information save, and now we are introducing the ability of multi-tasking, which give them time efficiency for their lives.

Journalist: Can you give us any clue about next products?

Steve Jobs: No, you will have to discover it!!

My name is Agatha Smith and you are listening to BBC radio. Now, we have the chance to interview Steve Jobs, an American computer technician also known as the father of the first personal computer and the founder of Apple Computer.

Agatha: When did you realize about your passion about electronics and gadgets?

Steve:  That is a good question. I remember when I was a kid I enjoyed everything about numbers and mathematics. Agata: I heard somewhere that you left university.  Which was the main reason you left your studies?

Steve: Yes, that is actually true; I left university after six month because I could not afford the high prices.

Agata: Now I would like to know about the beginnings of your company Apple.

Steve:  Well it is actually quite strange.I started Apple with my friend Steve Wozniak at my parents’ garage and then we sold it.

Agatha: That is very interesting! I really would like to hear all your anecdotes but unfortunately we do not have more time.

Steve:  Do not worry about it, I would be absolutely pleased to have another interview with you. Thank you very much.

Steve: Thanks you for inviting me.

Interviewer: Steve, I’d like to begin with information much personal whit you. You could tell us a little about yourself? For example, where you from, how old you are... 

Steve: yes of course, I was born in San Francisco, California, USA, February 24, 1955. I have four children, and that’s it. 

Interviewer: okay, and how did you start Appel? 

Steve: I founded Apple in 1976 along with a friend of adolescence, Steve Wozniak, whit the help of a former Atari worker, Ronald Wayne, in the garage of my house. 

Interviewer: An interesting and curiosity start. So, how have you got to get to the Apple is what it is? 

Steve: Was an invention with which we were released to fame, was the Apple 2, with what I got public relevance and because we were front page of the Time in 1982. 

Interviewer: Than interesting!!

Good afternoon ladies and gentleman, today we have a very special guest. Please, give a big applause to Steve Jobs. 

Interviewer: Thank you for coming!

Steve: It’s a pleasure for me to be here this afternoon. 

Interviewer: So Steve, do you remember how did you come up with creating Apple?

Steve: Yes, of course. It all started when my parents gave me a computer for my birthday. At the moment a lot of ideas came up to my mind but also I had a lot of questions about the functioning of the software. Then, I thought about creating a new type of software more safe. I was studying in the University and I told my idea to one of my friends. We started working in a project since we created Apple. 

Interviewer: Amazing, but you were too young. How you did to combine the brand creation with your studies?

Steve: It was easy, but simply because I was very motivated and since the University everything I’ve done resulted me very interesting. 

Interviewer: Before having success, had you imagine you would arrive where you are at the moment?

Steve: Obviously not. Any go-ahead have their doubts about what are they doing well or bad. I was totally new in the business world and I didn’t expected to arrive as far as I have done. 

Interviewer: That’s fantastic. What did your family think about your project? Did they support you?

Steve: I have good luck of being part of a family that has always support me. They had helped me a lot and my mother was suffering for anything that could went wrong. 

Interviewer: Last question. Are you proud of everything you had achieve or do you regret for something?

Steve: The truth is that I’m not a conformist person and I think that always can be better. I’m proud of all my work and my project and I feel very fulfilled but there are things that if I could change I wouldn’t have done it. But in general I’m very satisfied. 

Interviewer: Thanks you a lot Steve. It has been a pleasure.

Interviewee: Good afternoon, nice to meet you.

Interviewer: Good afternoon. To begin with, we would like to ask for your goals and main objectives.

Interviewee: Yes, absolutely. My first motivation is to be part of that project, which is to give a great experience to underprivileged children. Also, I would like to work during summer and I found it perfect to combine things that I love and at the same time I feel realised helping people.

Interviewer: Tell us, what are your ambitions and how could you contribute to this project?

Interviewee: Well, my main hobbies are art, I can play the piano, sing, draw… and these competences help out at a campus of children. In addition, I am a very social person and I know how to manage and lead a group. I can tell that I like to work in a team because of my experiences before. Another important aspect is my sportive career. I have been always playing basketball and this made me a sports lover. Teach them not to give up and continue in life despite the difficulties they will find.

Interviewer: Which is your current level of English and Spanish?

Interviewee: I am from Spain, Barcelona, and Spanish is my mother tongue. In relation to English, this last summer I took classes in International House and I passed the FCE exam, which means that I have the title of a B2 level.

Interviewee: Actually, I am working in Btv.

Interviewer: So, why you want this job?

Interviewee: Because, I think I have the necessary experience, as for a chain like Tv3.

Interviewer: What do you think you can contribute to tv3?

Interviewee: I think that my knowledge, and my good angles with the camera, can be beneficiaries for you.

Interviewer: How long have you worked on camera? And what is your specialty?

Interviewee: I have been working in btv, five years. I am specialized in big events, like concerts, theatres, or football. Here is a Pen Drive with some of my works.

Interviewer: Perfect. Would you be interested to work in another country?

Interviewee: Yes, at the moment there is no problem, even, I would like it.

Interviewer: Cool, we are searching for someone to go to Africa.

Interviewee: Africa is a place where I want to work, to increase my experience.

Interviewer: The salary for this job is 40.000€ plus house. Also you should start in January of next year.

This night, we will interview Steven Paul Jobs. A multi-tasking a commonly known as Steve Jobs, he is an American business magnate, entrepreneur, co-founder of Apple, the chairman and majority shareholder of Pixar, a member of The Walt Disney Company’s board of directors following its acquisition of Pixar. It’s an honour to have you here Mr. Jobs.

Steve Jobs: The honour it’s mine and please call me Steve.

Presenter: Ok Steve, you are widely recognized as a pioneer of the personal computer revolution of the 1970s and 1980s, along with Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak. But after that, how did you and Steve Wozniak enter to the computer’s world?

Steve Jobs: Well, the truth is that me, like Wozinak, didn’t had much friends and we used to spend hours and hours playing videogames with the computer. When I meet him, we get on well very fast and we started o play together. Little by little we started trying to know how the computer worked and we started making improvements, till we created the iOS.

Presenter: Wow, that’s an amazing story! And how a young guy with problems to make friends became one of the biggest entrepreneurs ever, because to be an entrepreneur, you have to posse’s management skills and you have to deal good under pressure. But you’ll tell us that after publicity!

When you started to be interested in the world of the Technology?

Steve Jobs:

Well... Since I was a child I had curosity in electronics and gadgets. In high school I started in a club where engineers show to studients their new products and in that moment I get impressed.

How did you start creating compunters?

Steve Jobs:

Maybe it sounds strange. Actually, I started trying to create computers in my parents garatge, and when I made my first computer I was in my bedroom.

Interviewer:

Amazing! To finish... In some interviewes you siad that you really admire Bob Dylan and Pablo Picasso, why?

Steve Jobs:

Yes, that’s true! I consider that two people an idols. They always were risking theirselves to the fail, but in the present they are considered genius.

Interviewer:

Well... That’s true.

Welcome ladies and gentlemen to the program Talking with Paula. Today we have with us a great technology famous, Mr. Steve Jobs. A big applause!

Interviewer: Welcome Mr. Jobs, it's a pleasure that you are here with us today.

Steve: The pleasure is mine!

Interviewer: Well Mr. Jobs, I would like to ask you how you became interested in technology.

Steve: In 1961 when I moved to Mountain View I joined a club called Hewlett-Packard Explorer Club, where Hewlett-Packard engineers showed us their new products. It was there where I saw my first computer, at 12 years old. There I knew immediately that I wanted to work with computers.

Interviewer: What advice would you give to all those people who think they can't reach your level?

Steve: Don't give up, it took me a lot of work and effort to get where I am. You have to be innovative, think about what would help today's society to communicate with each other in an easier way.

Interviewer: Well, today's interview would end here, thank you very much Mr. Jobs for coming.

Job Interview - Paula Saloni

Two weeks ago Paula sent her covering letter to CAMP U.S. for being part of the staff during the summer. The charity has called Paula to carry out a job interview. 

CAMP U.S.: Before answering an urgent call we were talking about your experience, right?

Paula: Yes, I was saying that I have worked in many summer jobs. I’ve worked as a babysitter, as a shop assistant and in some summer camps. At any rate I prefer working with children in a camp for a couple of weeks. 

CAMP U.S.: That’s great! What about your availability for this summer. 

Paula: My plan for this summer it’s just going on vacation to my village with my family for a couple of weeks in September. Also, I finish the school on May for preparing myself for the University Entrance Exam, so from June 21st to September 3rd I will be free. 

CAMP U.S.: Brilliant. Last question before finishing the job interview. Do you have any skill? 

Paula: Yeah, I think so. I believe that I have organizational skills, because I’m multi-tasking, and also very goal setting, I like to establish an objective after each activity. I’m also a good team player, so I think I won’t have any argument with the rest of the staff. The last one is personal life skills, because I have adaptability, common sense and I put a lot of effort in everything I do.

In which things do you think you have contributed in the technology industry?

Steve Jobs: 

Apple was the first business who presents the idea of the computation and this idea and the internet have changed and made easier our day-to-day.

Why did you choose this logotype for Apple?

Steve Jobs: 

This logotype is an a tribute to Alan Turing an important mathematical who died from eating a poisoned apple.

What do you think is the pillar of Apple?

Steve Jobs:

Well.. the most important pillar is the trust of the users for this reason we have to guarantee the best of our products. Besides the innovation and the exclusivity.

To finish, what will be your message to the population about business and the important things in this life?

Steve Jobs:

Interviewer (I): Welcome to your favourite weekly program “Interviews with VIPs”, here, in Radio Sky. Today we will have the pleasure to interview Steve Jobs, the Apple CEO, Leonardo DiCaprio, the famous actor, and Shakira, a singer. But first things first. Welcome Steve Jobs.

Steve Jobs (SJ): Good afternoon. I am happy to be here, but I must recognise I am nervous as this is my first interview I this radio.

I: Do not worry, we only want to ask you some questions and that you respond as briefly as possible.

SJ: Okay, I am prepared.

I: Lots of people wonder what a person needs to be an Apple employee.

SJ: In Apple we search people with team player skills, multi-tasking skills, good time-management skills and good at problem solving skills. In Apple, we work in project teams and usually a person is involved in more than just one project with all that this implicates. It is important to have as many skills as possible, also good people skills.

I: All your employees match saying that you possess leadership skills, but you are not good with numbers…

SJ: Well, I try to get involved in as many projects I can and encourage my workers to be creative and open minded. I try to create a good work environment and to be close to those people who help Apple to be what it is today. But usually I am wrong on predictions in product sales.

I: Tomorrow, Apple will launch the new iPhone 12 XRS Max Pro Plus in the annual keynote, what are your expectations?

SJ: We hope to sell a million iPhones during the first month, and after, half a million per month…

I: A million iPhones?! These are a lot of iPhones! What will the price be?

SJ: The starting price for the base model will be three thousand dollars.

I: But it is too expensive.

SJ: We are not trying to create a cheap phone; in Apple we search the quality of all our iPhones without looking at the final price.

I: And you think people would buy this?

SJ: Absolutely. Apple is the company for those who want the best quality on their hands.
